Following the launch of the first two editions of the EUROVISION LOCKDOWN on 21 and 22 March 2020 two more editions of the show are planned for this weekend. This follows the sad news of the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 due to the Corona Virus outbreak globally and people have been told to stay indoors to not give the virus a chance of spreading.
The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 65 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.
This week Matthias Breitinger from Germany joined JP via SKYPE to chat about and play Ten songs that from Melodifestivalen - two per decade.
Javier Leal from Montreal, Canada co-hosted a bunch for Swedish Schlagertastic songs from Melodifestivalen und JP dug out an interview he did with the late Bill Martin in 2008 who wrote many songs also Eurovision Winner "Puppet on a string"by Sandy Shaw and Cliff Richard's "Congratulations". Bill Martin passed away on 26 March 2020 aged 81.
Lukas Gornitzka joined JP for a chat via SKYPE from Swedens capital Stockholm to chat about Melodifestivalen, Eurovision Song Contest, National Finals and theupcoming project of the "Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest 2020" of which you find details here.
Then there plenty of room for music requests of the Eurovision Fan community and chats with the fans on air.
Also fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.

Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 2359 hours CET. The show is also broadcast on Castlepoint FM in the United Kingdom live on Wednesday evenings from 2000 - 2300 hours CET as well as on the Facebook Page of Eurovision Radio International with an interactive chatroom.
Melodifestivalen 2020: Sweden's Biggest Music event Melodifestivalen 2020 Grand Final took place on 07 March 2020 with 12 acts competing in the Friends Arena. Congratulations to The Mamas winning with the song "Move". Radio International's JP attended the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2020 in Stockholm and brought back some interviews you can hear on the show this and next week. A tthis point also a big Thank You to Marc and Salman for co-interviewing. This week interviews withsome of the finalists in Melodifestivalen 2020: Anna Bergendahl, Paul Rey, Anis Don Demina, Malou Prydz and Felix Sandman.

Today JP was joined by colleague Dermot Manning live from Dublin to select some cheerful Eurovision Songs through the years and Dermots fantastic Memories with it.
