The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 66 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.
In the last series from March till June 2020 the show became popular and fans joined JP and the Radio International Team to present themed hours. We would like to continue on this in the second series. First Hour:
MELODIFESTIVALEN 2021 - The Grand Final: Interview with Dotter: With this weekend the National Final Season 2021 draws to a close and traditionally the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen is the last of the big Selection Shows to find that act to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. The Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2021 is on Saturday, 13 March 2021 and in view of that the Eurovision Lockdown broadcasts an interview session done with two artists from the Swedish National Final. In the first hour listen to Dotter who has one of Sweden's great singer/songwriters having written great entries to Melodifestivalen such as "A Million Years" for Mariette and of course for herself the great 2020 entry "Bulletproof" that came second in Melodifestivalen 2021 with just one point difference to The Mamas who won with "Move". Enjoy listening to the many questions and answers to and from Dotter in the first hour of the Eurovision Lockdown as well as to her great music and the Eurovision Lockdown Team wishes Dotter all the best of luck for her participation in Melodifestivalen 2021 with the song "Little Tot".
Second Hour:
MELODIFESTIVALEN 2021 - The Grand Final: Interview with Eric Saade: The second interview on the Eurovision Lockdown is with a 'veteran' Melodifestivalen since he already participated three times as singer and he co-hosted the event in 2019. It is Eric Saade that in 2021 has another great entry to Melodifestivalen 2021 entitled "Every Minute" which is one of the favourites to win Sweden's biggest music competition. Eric already represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with the song "Popular". In 2010 he came third with "Manboy" in Melodifestivalen and then in 2015 "Sting" reached 5th place.
Third Hour:
