Finland was represented by Sonja Lumme with the song "Eläköön elämä" coming 9th in the Eurovision Song Contest in that year. Sonja tried a few times to represent Finland at the contest and finally in 1985 it was the case. The Home Composed Song Contest is in its 33rd year, this is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform and produce their own music, who enter their own original song composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help choose the winning song. This year there are 28 songs from 13 different countries, and you can listen to the songs, and read the lyrics and bios on the official website - click here
The Radio International Team once again formed one Jury and you will be able to hear the songs also on Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience. Once again very high standards this year. Well done to all participants and may the best entry win.
There is a delay in the Grand Final show where the results will be published. As soon as the details are available Radio International will inform you on the show as well on this website.
