With this week's sad news of the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 due to the Corona Virus outbreak globally most of the people are locked in their homes around the world, with some exceptions, teleworking from their Home Offices
The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 65 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.
Also fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.
JP was joined by Chris Poppe with a selection of great Eurovision Tunes long forgotten but should not have been forgotten and also joining JP during the show was the United Kingdom's Representative of the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 - Lindsay Dracass.
The first show started Saturday, 21 March 2020 via Run FM in the United Kingdom but available also via the Radio International Facebook Group "Eurovision Radio International" where you can find the chatroom. Eurovision 2020: Sad news hit the Eurovision fans and community earlier today on Wednesday, 18 March 2020 when the EBU and Dutch broadcasters announced the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The show is partly geared towards this news.
Melodifestivalen 2020: Sweden's Biggest Music event Melodifestivalen 2020 Grand Final took place on 07 March 2020 with 12 acts competing in the Friends Arena for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 to represent Sweden in Rotterdam. Congratulations to The Mamas winning with the song "Move". Radio International's JP has attended the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2020 in Stockholm and brought back some interviews you can hear on the show this and next week. This week interviews with the show's Senior Producer Christer Bjoerkman who also represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 and the Runner Up in Melodifestivalen 2020 behind the Mamas - Dotter who performed the song "Bulletproof" Enjoy listening !

Sweden's Biggest Music event Melodifestivalen 2020 has reached the Grand Final stage when in 07 March 2020 12 acts will compete in the Friends Arena for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 to represent Sweden in Rotterdam. Radio International's JP has attended Semi Final 2 and 4 plus the Second Chance and also will be in Stockholm chatting with the artists. In view of the upcoming Grand Final in Stockholm listen to interviews with the following Finaists: Anna Bergendahl, Dotter, Felix Sandman, Paul Rey, Anis don Demina and the Hosts of Melodifestivalen 2020 (Lina Hedlund, Linnea Henriksson and David Sundin).
