Daniel Zizka (Czechia 2026) with Johannes

 

Interview with Daniel Zizka (Czechia 2026): Czechia or in that time still called The Czech Republic debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with their best result in 2018 when Mikolas Josef came 6th with the song "Lie to me". Czechia took part 15 times in only six qualifications for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2026, Czechia sent in young Daniel Zizka who very powerful performed the song "Crossroads" reaching Number 16 in the Grand Final. Radio International's Newsman Johannes had the pleasure in meeting Daniel for an interview which you can hear on the show this week. 

 

 

Satoshi (Moldova 2026) with JP

Interview with Satoshi (Moldova 2026):  After a year's break Moldova came back with a bundle of energy to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with Satoshi and the song "Viva Moldova" which in fact opened up the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 being the first song in Semi Final , successfully qualified for the Grand Final where it ended up at Number 8 with 226 points. Alain Forrotti had the pleasure of meeting Satoshi during the first rehearsal week in Vienna, Austria and interviewed the singer which you can hear on the show this week. 

 

 

The Eurovision Spotlight - The Magic Letter Game: As summer has officially arrived on the northern hemisphere of the globe it means that it is also time for the summer feature for the next few weeks. The summer feature is the Magic Letter Game involving Eurovision Songs which you will be presented by the Radio International Team of Experts :). Ross Bennett continues this brand new series and will explain the Rules of the Game. :)  

 

Eurovision News, New Song Releases, Birthday File, Coverspot, Eurovision Calendar: Also JP will be joined by David Mann for the Eurovision Birthday File and Eurovision Coverspot.  Javier stands in for Nick and will be presenting the Eurovision News courtesy of escXtra.com. Sal da Vinci (Italy 2026) with Johannes

Interview with Sal da Vinci (Italy 2026):  The Winner of the San Remo Song Festival was Sal da Vinci with the song "Per Sempre Si" and with this represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 coming from Vienna, Austria. Although quite a retro song it pleased Europe's audience and the juries of the Eurovision and reached 5th place in the Grand Final. Radio International's Johannes was invited backstage in the dressing room of Sal da Vinci for an interview before he went on stage. Enjoy the atmosphere from backstage while listening to the interview on Radio International this week. 

 

Eva Marija (Luxembourg 2026)

Interview with Eva Marija (Luxembourg 2026): Since Luxembourg's return in 2024 this year's entry sadly did not qualify Luxembourg for the Grand Final. Eva-Marija performed the song "Mother Nature"  and the Radio International Interview had the big pleasure to be chatting with Eva Marija at the Turquoise Carpet at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Marc and Salman conducted that interview. 

 

Cesar Sampson (Austria 2018)

Interview with Cesar Sampson (Austria 2018): In the run up to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026's rehearsal and show week many festivities and parties happen in the host city of Vienna. The Norwegian Embassy - in honour of Jonas Lovv threw a garden party inviting the Ambassadors and Musical Ambassadors plus journalists from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. JP bumped into Cesar Sampson who was also invited to this reception and conducted an interview regarding his involvement in Eurovision 2026. Cesar represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Nobody but you" coming 3rd. Listen to find out the details.
