Blas was already selected to represent Spain in 2020 with the song "Universo" but, as we know, the contest was cancelled due to Corona Pandemic. Luckily though, Blas nominated to be Spain's representative and the song in the running this year is entitled "Voy a quedarme" which Blas will be performing in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on Saturday, 22 May 2021.
The Interview Team of Radio International is very much looking forward to having Blas Canto on the show this week for an interview and with that to get to know the young Spanish performer bringing him closer to the fans.
Interview with Hooverphonic (Belgium 2021): In 2020, Hooverphonic was selected by the Belgian Broadcaster to represent them at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Release me". Due the Corona Pandemic hitting the globe, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled, however, Hooverphonic will be representing Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "The Wrong Place" which will be performing in Semi Final 1 Number 11. Courtesy of our colleague Alain Forrotti Radio International will be broadcasting the interview this week with Alex Callier, one of the members of Hooverphonic.

Due to Corona Pandemic that hit the Earth in 2020 and still forces countries to a total lockdown Radio International starts the second series of the EUROVISION LOCKDOWN which are two extra live shows of Eurovision madness on Saturdays and Sundays for the time of the Corona Lockdown in the United Kingdom starting on Saturday 09 January 2021.
The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 66 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.
