Eurovision Weekend 2021 - Interview with Emmelie de Forest (Eurovision Winner 2013, Denmark), Justs (Latvia 2016) and Daniel Schuhmacher (Winner of the 6th German Pop Idols): 
The Eurovision Weekend 2021 took place on 15 - 17 Oct 2021 in Stuttgart in Germany with the participation of Eurovision Winner Emmelie de Forest who won the contest for Denmark in 2013 with the song "Only Teardrops". JP, Marc and Salman interviewed Emmelie at the Sunday Brunch of the event.

Also being part of the guest list was Justs who represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Heartbeat" coming 15th in the Grand Final. The song was written by the previous year's Latvian representative Aminata. Marc and Salman chatted with Justs backstage on Saturday Night while JP was entertaining the many Eurovision Fans with the Eurovision Disco.

 

And last but not least our third guest on the show this week is Daniel Schuhmacher who won the 6th season of Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar (DSDS) which is German Pop Idols. Daniel is a huge Eurovision Fan and would love to represent Germany at Eurovision one day. He has great vocal capabilities and after winning the German Idols has definitely the qualification to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest. Marc and Salman talked to Daniel backstage after the main show was over. Listen to all three interviews on the show this week.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021:  Junior Eurovision 2021 will take place in Paris, France on 19 Dec 2021 after the victory of  Valentina with the song "J'Imagine" in 2020 for France. The song was written by Barbara Pravi who came second at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The 19th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be staged on 19 December 2021 with 19 countries taking part:  Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain and Ukraine.

Hosts and Venue: The venue is La Seine Musicale, Paris, France and the hosts are still to be announced.

Throught the upcoming weeks in the run up to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 Radio International will get the fans in the mood playing some of the highlights of the previous editions of the contest.

Live Interview with Sibel Tüzün (Turkey 2006): 
Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is extremely delighted to welcome to the show Sibil Tüzün who represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Süper Star". Sibel successfully qualified her country from the Semi Final to the Grand Final and at the end of the voting sequence Turkey placed at Number 11. Sadly, since 2012 Turkey is not participating at the Eurovision Song Contest anymore. But Radio International is very happy to be interviewing one of their participating legends from Eurovision 2006. Interview with Jarkko Timmonen (Winner of the Fan Vision Song Contest 2021): The Eurovision Weekend 2021 took place in Stuttgart, Germany from 15 - 17 October 2021 with the participation of Eurovision Winner 2013 for Denmark: Emmelie de Forest, Justs from Latvia (2016), the Winner of the 6th Season of Deutschland Sucht den Superstar (German Idols): Daniel Schuhmacher and seven young candidates competing in the event's Fan Vision Song Contest 2021. The contest was won by Jarkko Timmonen representing Finland with a Finnish Cover of the Eurovision winning song for Austria in 2014 "Rise Like a Phoenix". Jarkko convinced the international jury as well as the audience with his amazing voice and vocal capabilities and won the contest with a landslide victory. Marc, Salman and JP met the singer for an interview the morning after the victory which you can hear on the show this week.

Live Interview with Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2011 and 2016): 
Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is extremely delighted to welcome to the show Poli Genova who represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest not only once but twice. It was in 2011 with the song "Na Inat" which unfortunately did not qualify for the Grand Final in Duesseldorf, ending up at Number 12 in Semi Final 2. But then Poli returned to the Eurovision Song Contest with a BANG! "If love was a crime" achieved Bulgaria's best-ever result at the contest being Number 4 which was better a year later by Kristian Kostov as he come second. 
In 2015, Poli was the Host of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Sofia, Bulgaria and as a musician the also released a number of songs and has been involved in a few projects. Let's find out details in this week's Interview Hour on Radio International.
