Live Interview with GO_A (Ukraine 2021):
All the countries have submitted their entry to the  Eurovision Song Contest 2021which is fast approaching. It scheduled for 18 May (Semi Final 1) 20 May (Semi Final 2) and the Grand Final on 22 May 2021 with 40 countries competing at the Ahoy Arena of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In the Run-Up to the World's biggest music competition Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is inviting the artists from the Eurovision Class of 2021 and after Blind Channel from Finland, Jendrik from Germany and Tornike Kipiani from Georgia, Radio International is pleased to have the next act from the Eurovision Class 2021 - GO_A.  The Ukrainian group was already selected in 2020 to represent the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Solovey". Sadly the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 was cancelled due to the Corona Pandemic. However, GO_A are selected again to represent Ukraine in 2021 with the song "Noise". Radio International will be chatting with the members of the group on this week's edition of Radio International.

Due to Corona Pandemic that hit the Earth in 2020 and still forces countries to a total lockdown Radio International starts the second series of the EUROVISION LOCKDOWN which are two extra live shows of Eurovision madness on Saturdays and Sundays for the time of the Corona Lockdown in the United Kingdom starting on Saturday 09 January 2021.

The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 66 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.

In the last series from March till June 2020 the show became popular and fans joined JP and the Radio International Team to present themed hours. We would like to continue on this in the second series.  Fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.

The shows are live via Castlepoint FM and Run FM in the United Kingdom but available also via the Radio International Facebook Group "Eurovision Radio International" where you can find the chatroom.  CONTENT OF TODAY's  SHOW

First Hour:
THE EUROVISION HAPPY HOUR: 
JP will start in the first hour with some Eurovision Classics, your listener's requests and new material of Eurovision artists that have reached the Radio International Tower of Eurovision Power.  Also revisiting a Eurovision Song Contest and listen to five songs from a particular Eurovision year.

Second Hour:
MY EUROVISION TOP TEN: The Class of 2021 with Javier Leal:  As the National Final Season is over and all entries to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 have already been selected with one exception. 40 countries are competing in the Rotterdam, The Netherlands in Semi Final 1 (18 May 2021), Semi Final 2 (20 May 2021) and the Grand Final (22 May 2021). Javier Leal had a listen to the songs and ranked them into his personal Top Ten of the Eurovision Class of 2021. This is the fourth of four parts.

Third Hour: 
EUROVISION SPOTLIGHT XXL: The most successful countries at the Eurovision Song Contest:
Marc Gehring from Germany returns to the show this week joining JP in the studio to introduce the ten most successful countries at the Eurovision Song Contest. Marc will explain details during this particular hour. Looking forward to welcoming Marc back to the show this week.

Fourth Hour: 
MY EUROVISION TOP TEN: The San Remo Song Festival 2021 with Matthias Breitinger:  The San Remo Music Festival or Song Festival was started in 1951 in Italy selecting the fest song of the year. Over the years the winner of this contest would then represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest. This was not always the case but again in 2021. Matthias Breitinger from Berlin rejoins JP in the studio with a pick of his ten favourite songs from the San Remo Song Festival 2021.

Remember this is the last show for three weeks and the Eurovision Lockdown will re-commence on Saturday, 24 April 2021.

It was 03 April 1971 that the Eurovision Song Contest was hosted in Ireland and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary our Irish Voice in the Radio International Team - Dermot Manning will be joining JP in the Eurovision Lockdown this week playing ten great songs from the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest.

Third Hour: 
MY EUROVISION TOP TEN: Ian from the Europ-Ian-Interview:
Welcoming our guest for the very first time on the Radio International's Eurovision Lockdown is Ian from the Europ-Ian-Interview introducing his favourite Top Ten of the Eurovision Song Contest and sharing some great stories with the fans and the listeners of the show. Looking forward to welcoming Ian to the Eurovision Lockdown.

 
Fourth Hour:  
MY EUROVISION TOP TEN:  Alain Forotti from LuxembourgHis voice was heard before on Radio International on some interviews with artists from the world of the Eurovision and Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Alain is native Luxembourger and works for Belgium's BRF as a radio presenter and interviewer. When he was a very young child his mother put him to bed at 3pm to wake him up when the Eurovision Song Contest was on in the evening so the whole family could watch it together. Alain join JP on the show this week giving his special selection of ten great Eurovision Classics as well he has some bubbling under the Top Ten if time permits. Looking forward to having Alain on the Eurovision Lockdown this week.

Live Interview with Jendrik (Germany 2021): As traditionally, Sweden closes the National Final Season with the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen now all the countries have submitted their entry to the  Eurovision Song Contest 2021which is fast approaching. It scheduled for 18 May (Semi Final 1) 20 May (Semi Final 2) and the Grand Final on 22 May 2021 with 40 countries competing at the Ahoy Arena of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In the Run-Up to the World's biggest music competition Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is inviting the artists from the Eurovision Class of 2021 and after Blind Channel from Finland now this week there are two artists from 2021. The first is  Jendrik who represents Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "I don't feel hate". Radio International will be chatting with the young musical star in Germany about his career and how Eurovision got into his life. For that JP is joined by John, Marc and Salman. Germany is part of the Big 5 and with this directly qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on Saturday, 22 May 2021.

The second artist joining the Radio International Interview Team this week will be Georgia's Muscial Ambassador Tornike Kipiani who represents his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "You".  Georgia is placed in the Second Semi Final in the Second Half and we'll be finding out all about the singer from distant Georgia on the show this week.
