Due to Corona Pandemic that hit the Earth in 2020 and still forces countries to a total lockdown Radio International starts the second series of the EUROVISION LOCKDOWN which are two extra live shows of Eurovision madness on Saturdays and Sundays for the time of the Corona Lockdown in the United Kingdom starting on Saturday 09 January 2021.
The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience thought of easing the tough times with two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 66 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans.
In the last series from March till June 2020 the show became popular and fans joined JP and the Radio International Team to present themed hours. We would like to continue on this in the second series. Fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.
The shows are live via Castlepoint FM and Run FM in the United Kingdom but available also via the Radio International Facebook Group "Eurovision Radio International" where you can find the chatroom. CONTENT OF TODAY's SHOW
First Hour:
THE EUROVISION HAPPY HOUR: JP will start in the first hour with some Eurovision Classics, your listener's requests and new material of Eurovision artists that have reached the Radio International Tower of Eurovision Power. Also revisiting a Eurovision Song Contest and listen to five songs from a particular Eurovision year.
Second Hour:
EUROVISION SPOTLIGHT XXL: You and Me with Ross Bennett: Radio International's Ross Bennett rejoins JP in the studio for the fourth part in the series where Ross selected a set of Eurovision songs that contain "You and me" in the lyrics. Looking forward to a cheerful hour with Ross on the Eurovision Lockdown once again.
Third Hour:
EUROVISION SPOTLIGHT XXL: My Eurovision Memories: This week we have the big pleasure of Lilian Brunnell returning to the show live via SKYPE from Stockholm in Sweden. Lilian will be joining JP to share some nice Eurovision stories but also she plays her favourite Eurovision songs on the show this week. Lilian conducted many interviews for Radio International and has been to many Eurovision Song Contests. Looking forward very much to having Lilian back on the sounds of the Eurovision Lockdown.
Fourth Hour:
MY EUROVISION TOP TEN: The Class of 2021 with Javier Leal: As the National Final Season is over and all entries to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 have already been selected with one exception. 40 countries are competing in the Rotterdam, The Netherlands in Semi Final 1 (18 May 2021), Semi Final 2 (20 May 2021) and the Grand Final (22 May 2021). Javier Leal had a listen to the songs and ranked them into his personal Top Ten of the Eurovision Class of 2021. This is the third of four parts.

Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 0059 hours CET. The show is also broadcast on RunFM in the United Kingdom live on Wednesday evenings from 1900 - 2300 hours CET as well as on the Facebook Page of Eurovision Radio International with an interactive chatroom.

Congratulations to Tusse who won Melodifestivalen 2021 and with this is Sweden's Representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in May with the song "Voices". Radio International already had the pleasure of an interview with the young singer, however, with kind permission of Alexander Borodin, who is the President of Melodifestivalklubben which is the OGAE Sweden Radio International is very happy to broadcast his interview he conducted with Sweden's Danny Saucedo. Danny tried many times to win the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest through his participation in Sweden's Melodifestivalen. He was part of the group EMD in 2009 coming third with "Baby Goodbye", he reached second place twice in 2012 with "Amazing" and "In the Club"in 2011. Danny returned to the 2021 edition of Melodifestivalen with the song "Dandi Dansa" reaching Number 7. Will he try again in the future for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest? Let's find out more from Danny in the interview on the show this week.

EUROVISION SPOTLIGHT XXL: Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest with John Dawton. Serbia has been part of the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004 when it was still Serbia and Montenegro and the first act directly reached Number 2 with Zeljko Joksimovic and the song "Lane Moje" and bettering this debut result was in 2007 when Serbia won the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with Marija Serifovic and the amazing "Molitva". John Dawton will be reflecting on the history of Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest. Get ready for some great Balkan songs in this special hour with John
Third Hour:
EUROVISION SPOTLIGHT XXL: Sweden's Melodifestivalen with Robert Wahlstroem: Melodifestivalen is Sweden's biggest musical event that happens every year since 1958. Robert Wahlstroem from Gothenburg in Sweden will be rejoining JP in the Studio to share some more Hidden Jams from Sweden's Melodifestivalen, following the success of Part 1 and 2.
